
You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers! Here are some commonly asked questions when it comes to booking your party.
Q: How do I book a party?
A: It’s easy! You can book online using our easy-to-use online booking system, you can send an email to thepartyrockerla@gmail.com with your party date and desired service and time, or you can give us a call at 818-275-1685!
Q: Do I need to leave a deposit in order to book a party, and if so, how do I do it?
A: Yes, we do require upfront deposits for all of our services. For all character and mascot parties, we require a $50 upfront deposit, which can be paid via Paypal on the “book online” section, or by giving us a call Monday-Sunday anytime between 10am and 6pm. For all services totaling $200 or more, we do require half of the total service amount upfront. We accept Paypal and credit card payments. We unfortunately do not take cash or check deposits.
Q: Which areas do you travel to?
A: We serve all of greater Los Angeles and its surrounding cities. We do travel outside of these areas, but there is at least a 1.5 hour minimum and a travel fee associated. Please consult us prior to leaving a deposit or any party info so we can check and make sure we service your area! 🙂
Q: Okay, I understand how to leave a deposit, but how do I pay my remaining balance?
A: All remaining balances must be paid in cash on the day of the event to the performer. You can also pay the remaining balance up to 24 hours before the party date by credit card or Paypal if you’d like. We unfortunately do not do same day credit card transactions as we may be on the field and unable to charge your card. Also, we do not take checks unless arrangements are made in advance. Typically, we do not take personal checks. Only company checks, travelers checks, or money orders.
Q: What happens if my performer is late?
A: We always make every effort to arrive to your event on time, but occasionally, factors beyond our control, like inclement weather, road construction or traffic may cause a performer to arrive late to an event. Please allow up to 30 minutes after scheduled start time for the service to begin. If a performer arrives late, they will stay for the allotted time afterwards to make up for any lateness.
Q: What if I need to cancel my event?
Stuff happens; we get it! Your deposit is only refundable with a minimum of 2 weeks before the start date of your event. After that, it becomes non-refundable. You may, however apply that deposit to a future event within the same calendar year, or “gift” your deposit to a friend or family member. All events must be rescheduled or cancelled within 7 days of your event. Deposits will be forfeited entirely for last minute cancellations.
Q: What if it rains on the day of my event?
A: We will be at your event rain or shine! Clients however must provide cover, or we will move inside. We will not perform outside in the rain. The same goes for very cold or very hot weather.
If rain is imminent for your event date, please let us know 24 hours in advance (or by the Friday before if it’s a weekend party) so we can contact the entertainer. Last minute postponing is allowed, but the deposit is not refundable. It may be applied to a booking in the future.
Q: What if I have an emergency on the day of my event?
A: If you have an emergency on the day of your event and require immediate assistance, the fastest way to reach us would be to send a text message to 818-275-1685 with your party date, service, and scheduled time. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Q: Do I tip my performer?
A: While it isn’t a requirement, it is sincerely appreciated! Our talented performers do their very best to give you the best possible service, so it’s always appreciated when you show them how much you enjoyed their show. Anywhere from 10-20% of the total service amount is usually a good number in case you’re not sure what to tip.
Q: I’d like to work for The Party Rocker. Are you hiring?
A: Yes! We are always looking for new talent. At this time, we are looking for performers who have character or clowning experience, as well as talented face painters, balloon twisters, air brush, henna and glitter tattoo artists, and caricature artists.
